It’s the End of the World as we Know it (Part Two)!

…and I feel fine.  Seriously, except for a few clouds outside, the day is pretty nice.  And even though at one point my dog nearly destroyed my place chasing after the cat, the day has been very uneventful.  It has been several months since his failure in May and since that time Camping  has warned that, while he was wrong about the date, he was right about the event.  He just has to tweak his eisegesis a bit more and BAM!, October 21.   So the world (well, okay, this is an exaggeration) waited to see if the followers of Camping would go up to heaven on the revised date 9f October 21.  We are not well into midday and, lo and behold, not a single rapture.

  1. You are wasting pixels to shame Harold Camping. No one should have needed proof that he was off base.

Instead, we should be trying to understand why Jesus and His apostles produced a New Testament which clearly called for the coming of the kingdom of God in that generation, and yet modern Christianity, while citing them as conclusively authoritative, considers them wrong on this point about which they were so adamant.

The answer is that Jesus and His apostles were right, the kingdom of God is in our midst, and that today’s churches – Harold Camping included – are caught up in tangential issues.

Truly, Jesus is Lord. If you would know God, know Jesus.

You’ve been misinformed. Jesus nor his apostles (do you mean disciples?) did not produce the New Testament.
